About the event

Over 300 of the world’s best rafters will travel to the Cassowary Coast for a chance to become the ‘ best of the best’.

Held over 8 days from 13- 20 May 2019, teams from 30 countries will compete through a combination of disciplines that include sprints, head to head, slalom and downriver.

The event will be held on the world-renowned Tully River, on a section of iconic Grade IV water spilling through the world heritage rainforest of Tropical North Queensland.

Officially 49 teams from 19 different countries

SPECTATOR TRANSPORT

Spectators have a range of shuttle bus options for the event. 

Cairns: From Cairns buses will depart from Reef Fleet Terminal in Cairns City at 6:30 am. 

Return cost will be $35 and spectators will need to book online: Click here to Book. 

Tully: From Tully the first bus will leave at 8:15 am. The next departure will be at 9:45 am. Spectators will need to book online: Click here to book. 

There will also be an option to book and purchase bus tickets from the Showgrounds Live Site, however we recommend booking online to secure your spot. Return cost will be $15.

WRC2019 Carpark: Shuttle buses will move from 9am each morning at approximately 10-20-minute intervals depending on demand, this will be a cost of $5. Click here to book. 

If you don’t book online please bring CASH with you to pay. The buses will be accepting CASH ONLY.
